Building Stronger Homes Through Science and Support
At Cogleap, we believe lasting change happens when therapy extends beyond the clinic and into the home. That’s why our Parent Support Training program is designed to equip parents with the tools, understanding, and confidence to help their children thrive every day — not just during therapy sessions.
Through interactive sessions led by specialists in child development, sensory processing, and feeding therapy, parents gain the knowledge to create structured, supportive home environments where children can feel calm, confident, and capable.
A Sensory Approach to Regulation
💡 Program Fee: $175
Every child experiences the world through eight sensory systems — sight, sound, touch, taste, smell, balance, body awareness, and internal sensations. When one or more of these systems become overwhelmed or under-stimulated, it can affect focus, emotional regulation, and daily functioning.
Cogleap’s Sensory Approach to Regulation workshop helps parents understand how sensory processing shapes behavior and learning. Over five one-hour sessions, parents discover:
The 8 Sensory Systems and how they influence behavior and attention
Types of Sensory Patterns and how to identify what your child needs
How Sensory Processing Impacts Function, mood, and learning
Implementing a Sensory “Diet” with activities to improve regulation
Hands-On Activities that bring calm and focus into the home
By the end of this series, parents walk away with practical, research-based strategies to manage emotional ups and downs, reduce meltdowns, and support their child’s therapy goals.
Understanding Picky Eating & Feeding Challenges (SOS Approach)
💡 Program Fee: $220
Feeding struggles are one of the most common concerns parents share — and they often go beyond simple “picky eating.” Many children have sensory sensitivities, motor coordination difficulties, or anxiety that makes eating stressful.
Cogleap’s Introduction to Picky Eating & Feeding Challenges uses the evidence-based SOS (Sequential-Oral-Sensory) Approach to help parents understand and address these challenges in a positive, step-by-step way.
Over six interactive sessions, you’ll explore:
Picky Eaters vs. Problem Feeders — understanding the root cause
The Connection Between Food, Behavior, and Hormones
Skills Involved in Eating — from oral motor to sensory readiness
Sensory Factors and Mealtime Environments
Steps to Eating — building comfort through gradual exposure
General Strategies: Oral Motor, Sensory, and Language Approaches
Parents leave this training with a deeper understanding of how to reduce mealtime battles and foster a healthy, stress-free approach to food.
The Best of Both Worlds: Package Deal
